All-American Hot Dogs and Rice
Recipe Description
Makes 6 servings.Ingredients
- 1/2 cup pasteurized American processed cheese|process cheese spread
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup|catsup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 cups cooked rice
- 1 12-ounce package frankfurters, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 14-1/2 to 16-ounce can tomatoes, crushed and drained (2 cups)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped Onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Combine Cheese spread, milk, ketchup|catsup, salt and pepper in small saucepan. Heat on low until well blended.
Combine Cheese sauce with rice, frankfurters, tomatoes and Onion. Turn into buttered shallow 2-quart baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees 25 to 30 minutes, or until heated through. Sprinkle with parsley.
