Pretzels II

Recipe Description

In Romanian: Covrigei II


  • 12 oz/350 g flour,
  • 12 oz/350 g butter,
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar|Sugar,
  • 4 hard boiled and sieved egg yolk|yolks,
  • 1 whole raw egg,
  • vanilla or lemon peel


  1. cream the butter with the Granulated sugar|Sugar, add the sieved egg yolk|yolks, whole egg, vanilla and knead well with the flour.
  2. Refrigerate dough for 1-2 hours.
  3. Then make pretzels and bake at medium heat.
  4. When the edges start to turn golden, they are done.
  5. They should remain white in the middle.
  6. Quickly remove from the baking sheete while still hot.
