Smoked Salmon Cheeseball

* Serves 4 to 6 people as an hors d'oeuvre.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese -- at room temperature
  • ¼ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp horseradish
  • 1 quick shake Worcestershire sauce|Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 6½ oz canned smoked salmon <ref>If smoked salmon is unavailable use canned salmon and ? teaspoon of liquid smoke. Use more liquid smoke if you like a stronger flavor.</ref>
  • ½ cup pecan meal|ground pecans

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and roll into a ball.
  2. Roll in either chopped nuts or chives.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.
