American Potato Salad, Italian-style


  • 5 lbs red-skinned potato|red potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 (8 ounces) bottle Italian dressing
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup salad dressing


  1. Boil potatoes with skins on, until tender.
  2. Cool.
  3. Peel, and cut into cubes.
  4. Add onions and italian dressing.
  5. Mix gently, but well.
  6. Refrigerate at least one hour.
  7. Add rest of ingredients.
  8. Mix well.
  9. chill several hours.
  10. mix again before serving.
  11. garnish with eggs if desired.
