Chocolate punch

Ingredients

  • 4 1-oz sq semi-sweet chocolate|semisweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar|Sugar
  • 2 cup Hot water
  • 2 quart milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 quart soda water|club soda
  • 1/2 pint heavy cream, whipped
  • Ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan combine the chocolate and Granulated sugar|Sugar with the hot water.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring for 2 mins.
  3. Add milk, and continue heating.
  4. When hot, beat in vanilla with a rotary egg beater or whisk.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Chill, then pour into a punch bowl over ice cream.
  7. For sparkle, add soda water|club soda.
  8. Top with whipped cream and dust with cinnamon.
