Barley Soup

Ingredients

  • 900 g meat
  • 2 cups dry beans|beans
  • 1 cup barley
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped herbs|green
  • 3 l water

Directions

  1. Soak beans in cold water over a night.
  2. Pour cold water over meat,boil and cook on low heat for 45 minutes.
  3. Add barley, beans, finely chopped onion and cook on very low heat for 1 hour.
  4. salt and pepper and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Soup is good when beans and meat are soft and tender.
