Diabetic-friendly Barbecue Sauce

* Makes 1 cup


  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup green bell pepper|green pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ cup water
  • ? cup ketchup|catsup
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 to 3 drops hot sauce|hot pepper sauce


  1. Cook onion and green bell pepper|green pepper in water over low heat about 8 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well; cook 2 more minutes.
