Low-cholesterol Mock Hollandaise Sauce

Recipe Description

Makes 1½ cups. 5 mg cholesterol per tablespoon.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hellmann's real mayonnaise
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp dry mustard
  • ¼ tsp salt (optional)

Directions

  1. In small saucepan with wire whisk beat all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Stirring constantly , cook over medium-low heat until thick (do not boil).
  3. Serve over vegetables or fish.
