Spicy Green Bean Casserole

Recipe Description

Makes 6 servings


  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 x 10¾-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 x 16-ounce can cut green beans, drained
  • 1 x 12-ounce can luncheon meat, diced
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese


  1. Cook onion in butter until soft but not brown.
  2. Stir in soup; heat about 2 minutes.
  3. Add rice, green bean|beans, luncheon meat, mustard and pepper sauce.
  4. Turn into buttered shallow 2-quart casserole. Top with Cheese.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
