Easter Egg Candies

Ingredients

  • 1 lb powdered sugar|confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp light corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp almond extract
  • 1 pinch cream of tartar
  • 1? cups flaked coconut
  • ==
  • 8 squares semi-sweet chocolate

Directions

  1. Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, butter and vanilla.
  2. Add the salt, almond extract and cream of tartar.
  3. This mixture will be crumbly.
  4. Add the coconut.
  5. Shape into eggs (whatever size you want).
  6. Melt the chocolate, in a double boiler, over low heat.
  7. Cool a little and then frost the eggs.
