Butterscotch Sauce


  • 1 egg yolk
  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 Cup water
  • 2/3 Cup brown sugar#About Brown sugar|light brown sugar
  • 1/3 Cup corn syrup


  1. Beat egg yolk then add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  2. Cook in a double boiler stirring frequently until thickened.
  3. Beat vigorously before using.
  4. Serve hot or cold over Ice cream.
