California Avocado Barbecue Salad

Recipe Description

Made with Jello


  • 2 packages(4 serving size each) or 1 package (8 serving size) Jello lemon flavor
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 Cups boiling water
  • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • ½ tsphot pepper sauce
  • 2 Cups chopped Hass Avocado|California avocado
  • ½ Cup finely chopped celery
  • ¼ Cup sliced scallions


Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water.

Stir in tomato sauce, vinegar andhot pepper sauce.

Chill until thickened.

Fold in Hass Avocado|California avocado, celery and scallions.

Pour into 5-cup mold.

Chill until firm, about 4 hours. Unmold.

Garnish as desired.

Prep. Time: 20 minutes.

Chill Time: 4 1/2 hours
