What exactly is a hanger steak? A hanger steak is a cut of beef steak from the steer of the cow. It is flavorful, and is best served cooked quickly over high heat and served medium rare. A visit to your local butcher or meat market, and you should be able to find this prized cut of beef.

Anne Burrell keeps this dish very simple. She marinates it in a zesty mixture of mustard, garlic, lemon, red pepper flakes, and rosemary. After the steaks have melded with this flavor for a while, it’s onto the grill they go!

After about 8-10 minutes on the grill, the hanger steaks should be ready. Let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing them into delicious bite sized pieces.
