Melissa’s Greek Chicken Burgers

Melissa d'Arabian makes Greek chicken burgers in pita.

Melissa d’Arabian goes Greek with her easy-to-make chicken burgers.

These Greek gyro inspired, low-calorie pita sandwiches are filled with delicious feta and mint!

It’s summer! We’re all probably trying to eat a little lighter and cut a few calories where we can.

Melissa d’Arabian helps us with that mission with her Greek gyro inspired Chicken Burgers. They may be low-fat, but they are full-flavor!

Making the burgers are simple. You could probably even prepare them and freeze them ahead of time to have on hand. Just be weary when defrosting chicken since it does have a higher risk of carrying bacteria.

Once you’ve mixed up and shaped the burgers, fry them up. While they are cooking, prepare the simple yogurt-mint sauce and slice up your lettuce and tomatoes.

When the chicken burgers are cooked, assemble your pita pocket sandwiches. Melissa suggests serving these with Sweet Potato Fries, but you could also do a Greek Salad!
