Seafood Marinara with Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 oz squid
  • ¼ cup onion
  • 2 tbsp green bell pepper
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz canned tomato sauce
  • 3 oz tomato paste
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar|sugar
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ? tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 8 oz pasta

Directions

  1. Cut squid into rings or strips.
  2. Cook onion, green bell pepper|green pepper, and garlic in hot oil until tender.
  3. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasonings.
  4. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add squid.
  6. Cover and simmer for approximately 5 minutes longer or until squid is tender.
  7. Serve over cooked pasta.
