Taco Skillet and Rice

Recipe Description

Makes 6 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 x 1¾-ounce package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 x 10-ounce package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 x 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • 3 cups hot cooked rice

Directions

  1. Brown beef in skillet, stirring to crumble meat. Drain off excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning mix, mixed vegetables, tomato sauce and water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
  3. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve meat mixture in a ring of rice.
