Toll House Easter Basket Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Pareve margarine or vegetable oil
  • 1½ cup granulated sugar
  • ? cup Nestlé® Carnation® evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1½ cup Nestlé® Toll House® semi-sweet chocolate chips|chocolate morsels <ref>For milk chocolate fudge substitute 2 cups (11.5-ounce package) Nestlé® Toll House® milk chocolate chips|chocolate morsels for semi-sweet morsels.</ref>
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 decorator icing for each desired color

Directions

  1. Foil-line 8-inch-square baking pan.
  2. Combine granulated sugar|sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in medium, heavy-duty saucepan.
  3. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in marshmallows, morsels, nuts and vanilla extract.
  7. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted.
  8. Pour into prepared pan; refrigerate until firm.
  9. Lift from pan; remove foil.
  10. Cut into squares.
  11. Design easter shapes (bunnies, eggs and/or chicks) on fudge squares with icing.
