Vegan Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ground pepper to taste

Directions

Toast the flour in a saucepan until slightly browned and aromatic. Stir in the nutritional yeast and oil to make a thick paste. Cook on medium heat until it starts to bubble and sizzle, then gradually whisk in the water and soy sauce. Cook on medium heat until it reaches a gravy-like consistency. Serve over the
