Wayne's Spicy Turkey Burgers (or Meatballs)

Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground turkey
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 each egg whites
  • 4 tbsp medium salsa
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp premium olive oil
  • 1 tsp #Emeril's "Essence"|essence

  • 2½ tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme

  1. In a large bowl mix together the "essence", oregano, pepper, cumin powder, garlic powder, egg whites, bread crumbs, and salsa.
  2. Use a garlic press and press garlic into the turkey meat|turkey.
  3. Add the turkey, and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add olive oil to pan, and pre-heat on medium for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Shape into 4 burgers or 9-12 meatballs.
  6. Cook on stove top in cast iron grill pan or large non-stick pan, over medium heat. Cook burgers / meatballs for 6-8 minutes per side until center is no longer pink.
  7. Cover pan with lid for 2 minutes, after cooking starts.
  8. Place Burgers / Meatballs on rolls, add toppings, and put them In the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until the rolls begin to turn brown.

  10. Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
