Crab Cakes Guyanese-style
Ingredients
- ½ lb fresh crab meat
- ¼ cup onion, minced
- ¼ cup red bell pepper|red pepper,minced
- 2 tbsp jerk spice
- 2 tsp honey
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 3 tbsp butter
- sweet lime salsa to serve
- In a small bowl, gently mix all the ingredients (except for the butter and salsa) until combined.
- Form into 12 crab cakes.
- Fry the crab cakes in butter over a moderate heat, until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with the sweet lime salsa.
