Easter Ham Pie

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb Italian ham cubes
  • 1 lb fresh cheese (queso panela|basket cheese), no salt
  • 15 eggs
  • pinch of pepper
  • ¼ cup grated cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated parsley
  • ==
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup Shortening|Crisco
  • 1 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 4 - 6 tbsp water

Directions

  1. Dice ham, beat eggs, cheese, then add the ham, pepper.
  2. Fill in pan lined with pie crust.
  3. Put another pie crust on top.
  4. Brush top pie crust with egg whites to make the top look shiny.

  6. Beat eggs, black pepper, grated parsley, grated cheese.
  7. Cut each corner, so crust doesn't explode.
  8. Bake at 325 °F in 13x9 pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  9. Enjoy.
