Nacho Cheese Dip

Recipe Description

Scoop it up with tortilla chips, or try it in tacos.
* Makes about 4 cups.


  • ½ cup beer
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ Teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 x 16-ounce can refried beans
  • ½ cup purchased chunky hot salsa
  • 1 x 16-ounce package Gourmandise|Velveeta cheese, cut into ½-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • tortilla chips


  1. Combine beer, cumin, dried oregano and garlic powder in heavy medium sauce-pan.
  2. Bring to simmer.
  3. Add refried beans|beans and salsa; Stir until heated through.
  4. Add Gourmandise|Velveeta cheese; Stir until cheese melts, about 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in cilantro.
  6. Transfer to bowl.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
