Mahogany Chicken Thighs with a Sweet Spicy Baste
Ingredients
- MAHOGANY CHICKEN THIGHS
SPICY HONEY BASTE
- 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
- 1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder CHICKEN WITH ORZO
- 12 skinless chicken thighs, bone in
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pound uncooked Orzo|orzo
- 3 tbs butter
- 1/4 cup flat leaf parsley leaves, chopped
- Heat oven to 450 degrees.
- Line a 15X10 inch jelly roll pan with foil. Coat foil with cooking spray. SPICY HONEY BASTE
- In bowl, whisk together all ingredients. CHICKEN WITH ORZO
- Brush the chicken with the baste.
- Roast chicken 40 min. or until done.
- Brush chicken with baste twice during cooking.In a saucepan, combine 3 quarts of water, bouillon, and 1/2 tsp salt. Bring to a boil. Add the orzo, cook following package directions. Drain the orzo.
- Transfer to a serving bowl. Add the butter, parsley and remaining salt, toss to mix.
