Apple Crumble
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup flour
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter|unsalted butter, cubed at room temperature
- 3 medium Apples, peeled, cored, cut into 1" x 1/2" slices
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Crumble:
- Combine flour and Granulated sugar|Sugar in a large bowl and mix well.
- Cut in the butter a little at a time, until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Filling:
- Place the Apples in a large bowl, sprinkle with brown sugar/flour/ciannamon mixture and stir gently to mix. Baking Directions:
- Grease a shallow 8" ovenproof dish
- Spoon the fruit mixture into the bottom and sprinkle the crumble mixture on top.
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, until the topping is browned and the fruit mixture bubbling.
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
