Gabonese Gombo Soup
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp red palm oil
- ½ onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 piment, minced
- 6 big okra (gombo), sliced
- 1 maggi chicken broth|chicken bouillon cube
- 2½ cups water
- ½ cup cooked rice
- ½ cup cooked lentils
- 1 tsp crushed dried okra
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- Sauté onion and garlic in oil until soft.
- Add piment, gombo, water and Maggi.
- Cook until gombo is soft.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook 10-15 minutes.
- Season to taste.
