Boston Baked Sausage and Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds smoked country-style link Sausage
  • 1 cup chopped Onion
  • 3/4 cup Ketchup|Catsup
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 1/2 cups cooked rice

Directions

  1. Cook Sausage in small amount of water in covered pan for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and cut Sausage into 2-1/2-inch pieces.
  3. Combine Onion, Ketchup|Catsup, syrup, mustard, liquid smoke, salt, pepper and rice.
  4. Turn into buttered 2-quart casserole.
  5. Arrange Sausage on top. Cover.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 40 minutes.
