Burnett Estate Pork Chop Casserole

Ingredients

  • 5 Slices Bacon
  • 16 Ounce can sauerkraut
  • 6 Pork chops
  • 1 Large white Onion, sliced thin
  • 3 Large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 16 Ounce can solid pack tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ Teaspoon caraway seed

Directions

  1. Cover bottom of a casserole with slices of bacon
  2. Top bacon with a layer of sauerkraut.
  3. Layer chops on top with a layer of onion rings.
  4. Arrange a layer of thin potato slices
  5. Cover with tomatoes.
  6. Season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds
  7. Cover and bake at 350 °F for 2 hours.
