Mocha Layered Cake
Recipe Description

- 8 eggs
- 8 oz / 250 g powdered sugar|confectioner's sugar
- 8 oz / 250 g walnut meal|ground walnuts or almonds
- 2 tablespoons fine white breadcrumbs ==
- 8 oz / 250 g butter
- 8 oz / 250 g powdered sugar|confectioner's sugar
- 5 egg yolk|yolks
- ½ vanilla stick
- 1 small cup coffee essence
- 4 oz / 100 g blanched almonds
- Cream the yolks with the granulated sugar|sugar, add the walnuts or almonds, bread crumbs and the whipped egg whites at the end.
- Pour the mixture into the cake baking pan, bake and after it has cooled, cut in two layers.
- Fill and glaze with the following cream.
- Beat the granulated sugar|sugar with the butter, then add the yolks one by one and the ground vanilla until you get a cream.
- Gradually add the coffee essence and mix well.
- After the cake is filled and covered with cream, garnish with almond#Sliced almonds|sliced almonds.
