Napoleon Layered Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 oz / 100 g butter
  • 4 oz / 100 g sour cream
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • flour as needed
  • vanilla flavored powdered sugar|confectioner's sugar

  • 5 egg yolk|yolks
  • ½ cup granulated sugar|sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1¼ cup milk
  • vanilla (stick)

Directions

  1. Mix the melted butter with the sour cream, add baking soda and mix well.
  2. Add flour and knead until you get a medium soft dough. Divide it into 3 equal parts and roll each into a ½ inch thick round sheets.
  3. Prick with a fork and bake individually at medium heat.
  4. When they are cold, spread the following cream.
  5. Beat the eggs with the granulated sugar|sugar until foamy. Add flour and mix.
  6. Pour hot milk with vanilla over the egg-granulated sugar|sugar mixture, mixing quickly.
  7. Set on heat and keep mixing until the cream starts to thicken.
  8. Let cool completely and then spread over the sheets.
  9. Sprinkle the last layer with vanilla flavored powdered sugar|confectioner's sugar.
