Cheese-topped Tuna Casserole

Recipe Description

Makes 2 to 3 servings.

Ingredients

  • ? cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon butter or margarine
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • ? cup tuna, drained and flaked
  • 7 tablespoons (? of 10¾-ounce can) condensed cream of celery soup
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ? teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ? cup (1.3 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Cook onion in butter in small skillet until tender but not brown.
  2. Stir in rice, tuna, soup, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  3. Turn into greased shallow 6-inch baking dish or individual casseroles.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  5. Top with cheese and bake 5 minutes longer.
